Our Story

How We Met

We first crossed paths in 2018 at the Australian War Memorial. What started as casual conversations soon turned into a lively debate about our favourite AFL teams - and before we knew it, we were spending more and more time together, sharing laughs and cheering (or jeering) at multiple sporting events.
From those early days of friendly rivalry and fun banter, our bond grew stronger. We never expected that a shared love of history, footy and various creative endeavours would lead us here, but that’s what makes our story so special. We’re excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you, our family and friends, who have been with us from the beginning. Let’s keep the fun going - together!

The Proposal

It was New Year’s Eve, 31 December 2022, and with fireworks booming in the background, Brett decided it was the perfect time to propose. The only catch? Sanne was completely distracted by the fireworks and left him hanging while she enjoyed the show! After what felt like forever, she finally turned around, and with a mix of surprise and laughter, she said yes. Not exactly how Brett planned it, but it couldn’t have been more ‘us' - perfectly imperfect and unforgettable.

We would be grateful if guests would arrive at Lancemore Macedon Ranges by 3:30pm. For those staying the night, we understand that this time may be earlier for check-ins.

Drinks and canapes will be served whilst we take photographs with the bridal party and our guests. 

Reception

6:30pm

Guests will be escorted to the reception area at around 6:00pm, for a 6:30pm start for dinner, speeches and dancing!

We would be grateful if everyone joins us the morning after for a big breakfast before we all return home. We understand that many are traveling from overseas and interstate, and we hope this kick starts your journey home.

Please note that Lancemore has multiple hotels across Victoria some of which are hours away from our venue. If you need help booking our venue, please don't hesitate to contact us or the venue directly.

Generally

Our venue has indicated that if you wish to stay the night before - Friday, 21 November 2025 - you are welcome to do so. Please note that there's another wedding on that Friday evening and rooms may be limited.
Alternatively, our venue has affiliate accommodation at Cleveland Estate which is about a 10 minute drive from Lancemore Macedon Ranges.  
There are also various accommodation option available. Please search the 'Macedon Ranges' to view availability, or contact us if you need help with accommodation. 

Information

TRANSPORTATION

Our venue, and the Macedon Ranges generally, is about a 50 minute drive from Melbourne Airport (Tullamarine).
It may be worth hiring a car from the Airport, or alternatively, we have family and friends who can pick you up and take you to your accommodation. If you need assistance with traveling from the Airport, please message Brett on 0434 637 583 or email [email protected]. 

Children

While we love little ones, we kindly request an adults-only wedding. Parents, we hope you will understand, and please have this night on us!

Dress code

Semi formal attire.

Gifts

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. Should you wish to celebrate us with a gift, a wishing well will be available at the reception.
